Dave Dombrowski and Phillies GM Sam Fuld have their work cut out for them this deadline

The Phillies are just two weeks away from the Major League Baseball trade deadline and the Phillies appear like they are going to be buying. As I type this, the Phillies are 2 games behind the Mets for first place in the NL East, having just taken 3 of 4 from the Marlins. But as teams start looking to sell, its become clear that the Phillies are in the market for an outfielder.

The three names that the Phillies have been linked to are the Twins Byron Buxton, the Cubs Kris Bryant (who would be a center fielder) and the Marlins Starling Marte. Marte recently rejected a contract extension with the Marlins for $30 million dollars over three years. Bryant is a free agent after this season and is likely to be o the move, and Buxton is under team control for another season.
