After the Philadelphia Phillies broke a long playoff drought with a wild card berth in the MLB Playoffs in 2022, the city recaptured the euphoria of Red October at Citizens Bank Park.

The Golden Era of Phillies baseball took a sharp turn after a disappointing playoff exit in 2011, but the expectation of an annual playoff appearance is back.

The Phillies clinched their first National League East pennant in 13 seasons in 2024. They’ll now pursue their ultimate goal of bringing the World Series trophy back to Philadelphia.

97.5 The Fanatic Talks Phillies & Another Red October

The staff at 97.5 The Fanatic offers the best insight you’ll find about the Phillies.

Ricky Bottalico wore the red pinstripes himself for seven of his 12 MLB seasons.

Mike Missanelli draws from a long history of following the game. John Kincade has experience in multiple markets with exposure to high-profile MLB franchises.

Tyrone Johnson and Andrew Salciunas have facilitated excellent Phillies conversation throughout one of the best eras in franchise history.

Kevin Cooney has covered the Phillies on site throughout his media career. Ray Dunne seems like he somehow never misses a home (or road?) game, and you can hear him bicker with Bill Colarulo every weekday about Dave Dombrowski.

Listen to 97.5 The Fanatic for select Phillies games during the 2024 MLB Playoffs as they set out with World Series hopes in another Red October run.

Game 3 of the World Series in 2022 opened with one of the most exciting moments in station history. John Kincade introduced the fury of Red October to the audience on Fox. The Phillies went on to win a 7-0 slugfest. It was the closest they'd get to a World Series.

Jeff Hoffman Tells Andrew Salciunas About Red October

“The thing that really hit me was walking out to the bullpen as the game was about to start, seeing the sea of red, kind of seeing how unified everybody was in the stadium and will be again. That was something that I’m getting the chills, the goosebumps just sitting here thinking about it. I didn’t even think that was a thing in Major League Baseball. I can see that being a thing in EPL or even NFL games or whatever, but in a Major League Baseball stadium, for a fan base to have that type of… passion and that just kind of impact on the players on the field and the way the atmosphere is, I would not like to be a visiting team coming in to play in an environment like that. I love it. I miss it. I can’t wait to do it again." -Jeff Hoffman on 97.5 The Fanatic
