10 Sixers Trade Targets

The Sixers are entering the second half of the regular season with the #1 seed in the East. Which means they will be buyers at the deadline. In his short time as Sixers GM Elton Brand has shown a propensity to buy, and buy in a big way. Tobias Harris, Jimmy Butler were two of his bigger moves. Elton now is working with Daryl Morey and the two could combine to do some exciting things come the NBA trade deadline. Lets take a look at 10 Sixers trade targets before the deadline that the Sixers could target.

• PG – Kyle Lowry

  Could the prodigal son return? The Cardinal Dougherty product is on the final year of his deal and would likely cost a first (or two) and possibly Maxey. He could be the missing piece the Sixers need

• SG – JJ Redick

  JJ Redick left, but could he return to finish what he started? Hes 36, on the final year of his contract, and not shooting great from 3 this year. Might cost a pair of 2nd rounders with conditions attached to them.

• F – PJ Tucker

  Reports say one way or another PJ Tucker will be on the Sixers. It looks like the Rockets could buy him out but if the Sixers dont want to wait then a 2nd rounder will probably do.
• SG – Zach LaVine

  LaVine has really blossomed into one of the top players in the league. He's averaging 28 PPG and would put the Sixers in true title contention. He would also cost A LOT. Likely 3 firsts, and young players like Maxey or Thybulle.

• SG – Bradley Beal

  Bradley Beal has often been a trade target that Sixers fans have wanted. He's on the final year of his deal, but still an elite player at just 27 years old. Likely multiple first round picks and a young player could get it done. But I dont see the Wizards trading him unless blown away by the offer

• PG – Patty Mills

  Patty Mills is another expiring contract. Hes already an established piece of the bench so he wouldnt have to adjust to that role. Hes also a fellow Australian. What does that mean? No clue! But it cant hurt. Maybe a pair of 2nd rounders would get it done.
• SG – Eric Gordon

  Eric Gordon is locked up for the next three seasons at over $18 million per. Do the Sixers want an expensive bench piece like Gordon making that much? Or are they content with trying to build Maxey into that? He would definitely help, but would likely cost a 1 and a 2.

• PF – Nemanja Bjelica

  Nemanja Bjelica was supposed to sign with the Sixers back in 2018 but backed out and chose to sign with the Kings. Hes been relegated to the bench this season and because of that you cant imagine the price would be that much. maybe a 2nd rounder or two?

• SG – George HIll

  George Hill would be a great veteran backup guard, and he comes in at a very affordable $11 million for next season. He adds a veteran presence. But is he an upgrade? Maybe a conditional first that would eventually turn into a second.
• PF – Lauri Markkanen

  The Bulls are looking to tear it down and retool and that could include dealing the former 7th overall pick. Still just 23 the Sixers would have the choice of qualifying him a contract. Hes really improved his FG% He could be a great candidate who turns into a breakout candidate. You have to figure a minimum of a first would be involved along with expiring contracts.
