Disability Pride Week

Disability Pride Philadelphia creates a FREE all-inclusive Parade and week-long Celebration (June 11-June 16) for Philadelphia and the surrounding areas to “Celebrate our Differences/End Stigma.” As you may know, the overall mission of Disability Pride Week is to change the way that people the way that people think about and define “disability”; break down and end the internalized shame among people with disabilities; and to promote the belief in society that disability is a natural and beautiful part of human diversity in which people living with disabilities can take pride.
