(00:00-10:52) On today’s Mike Missanelli Show, Mike is on vacation and Tyrone is filling in. Jen is back and Connor is in the producers’ chair. The word of the day is “like”. Who do you like in Philly sports and why? What makes us like athletes from this city so much even though 99.9% of us will never meet them? Tyrese Maxey’s infectious attitude and personality has helped increase the ever-growing love for him in Philadelphia. Jen and Conner weigh in and give their favorite athletes.
(11:02-35:06) Connor introduces today’s Twitter poll. With the word of the day being “like”, what team is the most likeable in Philly right now? (Yes, the Union are very likeable). Your choices are the Sixers, Phillies, Eagles and Flyers. Tyrone heads to the phones to hear your thoughts.
(35:16-1:02:57) Tyrone jokingly talks about a drink special “Club Tyrone” is offering. For every home run hit by Mickey Moniak, the city gets a beer and a shot for $2. Tyrone heads back to the phones.
(1:03:08-1:15:45) Jen gives a Twitter update and Tyrone and the crew play and react to Jordan Mailata’s amazing signing performance on The Masked Singer. He then takes more of your calls.
(1:15:56-1:24:34) Jen dives into some interesting stories outside the world of sports on “What’s Brewin With Jen” to include a maple syrup flavored Pepsi and a follow up to Connors story about the world’s largest potato.
(1:24:45-1:44:44) News broke that the Eagles re-signed Derek Barnett and Tyrone is not happy. He explains his reasons then asks Connor and Jen their thoughts. He then heads back to the phones.
(1:44:54-2:00:31) Tim McManus joins the show to talk about the latest Eagles news. He reacts to the Derek Barnett signing and Calvin Ridley was almost and Eagle before his suspension. Some of the bigger moves they tried for fell through and that’s why some players were re-signed. It has been an underwhelming off-season so far but he encourages Eagles fans to see the process through. There still is time but they do have work to do.
