Anthony opens up the show with the realization that the Sixers window to win a Championship is in the next 3-4 years and Tyrese Maxey won’t be as much help to them, in that time frame, as a player like Kyle Lowry would. Anthony mentions that despite Maxey being a promising, young player; players like that are usually trade chips to get a better veteran player in a trade. Anthony wonders if wanting to trade a player like Maxey makes him a bad Philadelphia sports fan, or simply just a logical one. This opens up the question of today’s show: What are the top three characteristics that make someone a “good” sports fan (0:00-43:06). Anthony and Andrew then get to “Morning Thoughts” and explain how excited they are for Phillies baseball not just because they love it, but because there will soon be something on TV almost every night. Andrew goes into how he offended his wife and what he was forced to watch with her because there were no games on last night. They then go to the phones to see what the city of Philadelphia has to say (43:06-1:26:46). 76ers rookie Isaiah Joe joins the show to discuss his experience with the Sixers so far this season and what his mindset has been joining the Delaware Blue Coats for their playoff run, while the NBA is on break. Followed by a few more phone calls (1:26:46-2:13:26). Anthony and Andrew then discuss ways college basketball can get back to relevancy and debate on if taking away the 3 point line would help or hurt the game. They finish out the show by giving us their picks with “the Daily Number” (2:13:26-2:55:12).
