(00:00-48:34) Andrew and Jamie are in once again for Anthony. They open the show ranting about a computer password change. When that finished they started talking about the Phillies pitching rotation coming out of the All-Star break. The biggest question they have is how would you explain Philadelphia sports since 2020. This conversation started because on a Reddit post, a Milwaukee sports fan was released from a Russian prison and had no idea what has happened in the last three years. How would you explain sports in Philly to someone who has completely missed the last couple of years?
(48:35-58:44) Ray cracks open the vault and plays clips from All-Star Games past. There are some good ones, but some could put you to sleep. You will have to listen to find out.
(58:53-1:55:24) The guys listen to some audio clips and react. The first is Nick Nurse when he was on Tyrese Maxey’s podcast and the other is Tyrese Haliburton. Haliburton thought he was going to the Sixers. An offer was on the table but the 76ers turned it down. They talk about the audio plus get into some James Harden and Joel Embiid talk. Andrew and Jamie have differing opinions on oatmeal cookies.
(1:55:25-2:09:15) Phillies reporter for The Athletic Matt Gelb joins the show to talk about the Phillies second half of the season. He discusses possible trades that can be made (including Nolan Arenado rumors), positions of needs and who needs to have a better second half. Matt also does not like oatmeal cookies.
(2:09:20-3:02:29) Andrew and Jamie talk more about cookies and where they rank the oatmeal raisin. The Phillies 2024 schedule was released, and they go over some of the key series. They start the season at home versus the Braves. There is a 4-team NBA trade proposed on Twitter that fires Ray up…not in a good way. Tyler Herro is involved.
