A new PGA TOUR Champions event, the Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic presented by Sodexo, is coming to the Lehigh Country Club in Allentown this fall.
Held Sept. 28-Oct. 4, the tournament will feature a 78-player field over three days in a 54-hole stroke-play format. These fields will include longtime PGA stars such as Bernhard Langer, Steve Stricker, Stewart Cink, Ernie Els, Padraig Harrington, Fred Couples, Vijay Singh, John Daly, Justin Leonard, Darren Clarke, and Dicky Pride.
Throughout the week, various activities will be held surrounding the tournament:
- Eagles & Friends Celebrity Pro‑Am: Celebrities, athletes, and business leaders will tee up alongside PGA TOUR Champions professionals.
- The official Pro‑Am: This once‑in‑a‑lifetime chance enables amateur golfers to play with legends of the game.
- Premium hospitality experiences include 18th‑green skyboxes and cabanas at the ninth and 16th greens, offering spectacular views, gourmet food, and a pleasant social atmosphere.
Fans can enjoy on-site experiences in the Wind Creek Tailgate Zone between the 18th and 16th holes, with family-friendly features including the B. Braun Kids Zone and the First Tee Putting Challenge.
Volunteering opportunities are available. They offer benefits such as tournament apparel, grounds access when not on duty, and two complimentary Friday-Sunday spectator tickets.
According to a PhillyVoice report, proceeds from the event will benefit the Eagles Autism Foundation, Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation, Valley Youth House, and other regional organizations in the Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley areas.
Jefferson Health, part of the Lehigh Valley Health Network, serves as the title sponsor, with Sodexo as the presenting sponsor. This year marks Sodexo's 60th anniversary.
Lehigh Country Club, outside downtown Allentown, is a premier scenic parkland course along the Little Lehigh Creek designed by William S. Flynn in 1927.
