The eyes of soccer fans worldwide will be on Philadelphia next year during the FIFA World Cup 2026. Six of the games will be hosted in the city, and there's a lot to do to prepare. Here's a look at what you need to know about scoring tickets and more for the big events.

How to Get FIFA World Cup Tickets for Philadelphia

When buying official travel packages and FIFA World Cup tickets for 2026, you need to purchase them through the official FIFA website. Online, you can find tickets for all games and hospitality packages.

To get tickets, you must register online. There's only one more sale window left this month. Once you get an access link or code, you'll find that tickets are first-come, first-served.

Best Neighborhoods to Stay in Philadelphia for the FIFA World Cup

If you want a place to stay near the World Cup stadium in Philadelphia, you need to stay in South Philadelphia. Lincoln Financial Field is located south of the city in the Navy Yard, but there's only one hotel within the Navy Yard itself.

If you want to take in some local history during your visit, stay in the Old City, the area near Independence Hall known for its cobblestone streets, nightlife, and eateries.

To be close to the fan zone, stay in the Fairmount neighborhood. The fan zone, on Lemon Hill in East Fairmount Park, is within easy walking distance of green spaces, cafés, and museums.

What to Know for Attending Matches

Before you arrive at Lincoln Financial Field to catch a match, be sure to check emails from FIFA or Lincoln Financial Field for stadium entry tips, prohibited items, and what's going on around the city. These emails will contain information about events in the fan zone, as well as pre-game festivities around the stadium.

Philadelphia is typically hot and humid in the summer, so wear breathable layers and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. In the stadium, you may need ID to get in and to get served. Arrive early to avoid traffic.

Lodging and Transportation

For World Cup hotels near the stadium in Philadelphia, the Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia South at The Navy Yard is the only hotel within walking distance. The next closest is the Live! Casino Hotel in South Philadelphia East.

The main entry point to Philadelphia is Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). Philadelphia is also home to William H. Gray III 30th Street Station. This major Amtrak station connects the city with other cities around the Northeast, as far west as Chicago, and as far south as New Orleans and Miami.

To get around the city, use SEPTA. You can find local buses, regional rail, the subway, and the trolley system on the SEPTA transport app.
