Few things scream “Philly pride” quite like Gritty, and now the city’s favorite orange icon is back with the 2026 Gritty Calendar. The highly anticipated collectible is officially on sale at FlyersCharities.com and on game days at the Community Corner in Section 120 at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

This year’s edition pays tribute to Philadelphia’s role as the birthplace of America and celebrates the United States’ 250th anniversary in 2026. Flyers Charities teamed up with the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB) to create a 12-month spread that captures the city’s energy, history, and unmistakable grit.

As Gritty himself said, “Philadelphia is the birthplace of America—and of yours truly. The 2026 Gritty Calendar captures the true essence of Philly. The beauty, the history, the grit.” Each month features Gritty photographed at iconic new locations—from the timeless charm of Elfreth’s Alley to the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and even the haunting walls of Eastern State Penitentiary.

PHLCVB President and CEO Gregg Caren praised the partnership, noting that Gritty embodies the same energy and creativity that will shine through when the world visits Philadelphia in 2026. Whether it’s the Philadelphia Fan Fest at Lemon Hill or the Flower Show at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, the calendar reflects the moments that connect people to this one-of-a-kind city.

August’s spread even adds a playful twist: Flyers forward Tyson Foerster trades his hockey stick for a tennis racket to challenge Gritty on the courts of Germantown Cricket Club. “He had a pretty sweet backhand,” Foerster joked, adding that the photos turned out great—and it’s even better knowing proceeds benefit Flyers Charities.

The Gritty Calendar helps fuel Flyers Charities’ mission to strengthen local communities by removing financial barriers, supporting families affected by cancer, and investing in programs that keep the game accessible for all. Together, the Flyers and Flyers Charities have given back more than $34 million to causes across the Greater Philadelphia region.

For fans ready to show their Philly pride, the 2026 Gritty Calendar is more than just a keepsake—it’s a way to celebrate the heart, humor, and history of America’s birthplace.
