Philadelphia Eagles legend Brandon Graham has partnered with beverage entrepreneur Ben Weiss to launch Crooked Tea, a zero-sugar hard tea brand that launched earlier this year.
Following the hard tea debut, Graham and Weiss worked with Philadelphia artist Jordan Spector to create the “Strip Sack Pack,” a collection of collectible trading cards celebrating Graham's NFL highlights and featuring artwork related to Crooked Tea.
The “Strip Sack Pack“ includes limited-edition cards with autographs, foils, ultra-rare inserts, and one-of-one cards. Some of the cards showcase Graham's key NFL moments, such as Graham's notable play against Tom Brady. A highly coveted holographic card titled “House of Crook” depicts Graham sacking a bag of sugar. Only 100 copies of this card are in circulation.
In an interview with Metro Philadelphia, Graham acknowledges former NFL linebacker, Eagle, and fellow Michigan alumnus Dhani Jones for inspiring this creative collaboration.
“[Dhani] got me involved with Crooked tea. I tasted it. I was just loving the brand and what they stood for and what we were trying to do, trying to take sugar off the streets; have a better-for-you drink,” he said.
Graham said that working with Spector has been dynamic, as the two knew each other previously before they teamed up for the “Strip Sack Pack.“
“We did one card together before, but then afterward, like this, a new project, it's just like the chemistry, I trusted Jordan already, so I kind of just let him put his imagination to it. And I was like, ‘Man, you know the story.' We talked a lot — talked a bunch about me as a person — and got to hang out a little bit, a lot of times, since then. I just trusted him on it,“ Graham said to Metro Philadelphia.
Graham reflected on his NFL career and the significance of these creative endeavors. They're ways Graham is continuing to stay active outside of playing in the NFL.
