College Football 26 (CFB) has taken the sports gaming world by storm in anticipation for its release on July 10. EA Sports has unveiled its team rankings.

Although Penn State hasn't won a national championship since the late 1980s, the Nittany Lions found themselves positioned beside college football powerhouse programs like Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, and Texas in CFB's ratings.

Penn State qualified for the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history in 2024. They are expected to contend for a Big 10 title in 2025. They scored 91 in offensive rating, second in the game behind Texas. Their defense earned a 94 rating, good for third behind only Alabama and Texas.

The Nittany Lions Wire shared the news about Penn State's rankings in the EA Sports College Football 26 game.

Senior starting quarterback Drew Allar dominates the College Football 26 ratings on offense, bolstered by running backs Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen. Defensive lineman Zane Durant has an overall rating of 83. He has also been added to the EA's exclusive top-prospect pack, which is available now for pre-orders.

Pro Football Network noted that "these ratings closely mirror real-world expectations for Penn State, coming off a 13-3 season record and a semifinal appearance last season. However, realism isn't limited to ratings only; it is everywhere."
