Jalen Hurts to Publish New Children’s Book

Coming off the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl LIX win, quarterback Jalen Hurts has published a children's book. "Better Than a Touchdown" is as an empowering story about friendship and teamwork.

"With this book, I'm excited to extend some of my lessons learned from my journey to the next generation," Hurts told on "TODAY" on June 23.

"Better Than a Touchdown" will hit bookstore shelves on March 10, 2026, but Eagles fans can preorder the book now.

The book, authored by Hurts and illustrated by Nneka Myers, tells the story of the power of community and how one person's advice can make a difference.

In the story, Hurts and his friends welcome the new school year by trying out for the football team. They then receive news that the team has been cut from the school. Hurts and his crew demonstrate that they're not ready to give up, and they rally the community to save the team.

Penguin Random House called "'Better Than a Touchdown' is a love letter to the power of community, being there for one another, and how a piece of good advice can change the course of a day. It carries a message we can all learn from: that by working together, there's nothing we can't accomplish."
