A new mural recognizing the Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl LIX win has been unveiled at the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame in Northeast Philadelphia. The new mural complements an existing one that was installed in 2018 after the Eagles' victory in Super Bowl LII.

The mural depicts Jalen Hurts throwing the "dagger" to DeVonta Smith, who is shown with his arms stretched out to receive the 46-yard target. The mural also features images of Cooper DeJean completing his pick-6 of Patrick Mahomes, Zack Baun leaping into the air to secure an interception, Saquon Barkley in a mid-hurdle pose, and coach Nick Sirianni getting doused with Gatorade near the end of the game.

Artist David McShane created the Super Bowl LIX mural as a continuation of other murals he's completed over the years at the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame. In 2014, McShane painted the "City of Champions" on the building's largest wall. This mural showcases the Eagles' Chuck Bednarik and Steve Van Buren as part of a composed image that features Philadelphia 76ers legends Wilt Chamberlain and Julius Erving, Flyers standout Bobby Clarke, and Phillies star Mike Schmidt, among other Philadelphia sports personalities.

According to a PhillyVoice report, McShane, who has worked with Mural Arts of Philadelphia for more than three decades, has several prominent sports-themed murals in Philadelphia. Some notable works include a "Tribute to Jackie Robinson," created on the wall of 2803 N. Broad St. in North Philadelphia in 1997. Another mural, at 24th and Walnut streets, showcases the history of the Phillies

The Philadelphia 76ers also have a recognition mural at 1201 S. Broad St., which was completed in 2017 by artist Ernel Martinez.
