It’s been a while since 97.5 The Fanatic carried a Philadelphia Phillies game, but that will change Labor Day Weekend when the Atlanta Braves visit Citizens Bank Park on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball.

Tune in at 7pm on September 1 to hear Jon “Boog” Sciambi and Doug Glanville on the ESPN Radio broadcast of one of the most heated modern MLB rivalries.

97.5 The Fanatic Broadcasting Phillies-Braves

Long-time baseball play-by-play announcer Boog Sciambi has settled into a great role as ESPN’s radio voice for the Sunday national game, the highlight of an MLB week.

He’s an old friend of John Kincade (but who isn’t?) who flaunted his Chicago Cubs allegiance during a guest appearance on Kincade & Salciunas before the Phillies traveled to Wrigley Field in July.

Doug Glanville played parts of six seasons in two stints with the Phillies. His career season came in 1999 during the glory days of the franchise when former teammate Ricky Bottalico held down the bullpen at Veterans Stadium.

It hasn’t been long since Glanville visited Citizens Bank Park for Phillies Alumni Weekend. The former center fielder unveiled the newly-named “Monty’s Angle” in the left-center field alley to honor the late David Montgomery.

ESPN Baseball Analysts on 97.5 The Fanatic

The Fanatic has featured ESPN’s top baseball analysts as guests in recent seasons. Baseball Tonight host Buster Olney praised the crowd at Citizens Bank Park earlier this season after predicting the Phillies as his World Series winner in 2024.

“It’s the best home field advantage in baseball. The relationship between the players and the crowd seems absolutely tangible to the point that I think on those days when players are flat… I think the crowd helps to lift them and to keep them accountable and to push them through those moments.” -Buster Olney

Tim Kurkjian has also dropped his best Phillies analysis during guest appearances on 97.5 The Fanatic. He's encouraged patience for the most passionate fan base in sports.

“This is what you do when the game beats you, and it beats you on a daily basis when you’re going poorly. It’s not a Philly thing. It’s a baseball thing, and all these guys are going to come out of these slumps eventually. It’s just going to be a question (of) when and how.” -Tim Kurkjian

ESPN will also showcase Childhood Cancer Night at the ballpark.
