Utley And Harper Star In Amazing “Always Sunny,” London Series Promo
Those familar with “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” will know Rob McElhenney’s character Mac, is obsessed with Chase Utley. But according to a recent promo for the Phillies-Mets upcoming London Series, Utley and Harper may now be competing for that obsession.
In an “Always Sunny” crossover, Utley and Harper joined forces to promote the game and gave us one of the best promos in recent history. You can check it out below.
The Utley and Harper London Series Promo
Now that is how you promote a game. Who knew Chase Utley was the jealous type? We often think of Utley being a bit stoic, but it is always nice to see his personality come out. Uually that only happens at World Series parades, or when he is talking about how much he hates the Mets.
Also good for Harper getting in a joke at Utley’s expense by telling him if he wanted hitting advice he would go to Jimmy Rollins.
If you aren’t familiar with the bit, all you need to know is that in “Always Sunny,” Rob’s character Mac is obsessed with Utley. Utley himself has cameoed in multiple episodes, where we find out Mac sent endless letters to Utley, asking if they could have a catch.
But Utley apparently doesn’t like his biggest fan having a similar obsession with Harper.
The Phillies take on the Mets, in London next Saturday and Sunday. It is the 2nd straight year the MLb has done this London Series, with the Cubs and Cardinals playing there last season
Saturday’s game starts at 1:10, but it will be a usually early 10:10 am first pitch for Sunday’s game. The last time the Phillies played the Mets, they took 3 out of 4 games.
Now we might also see the payoff to this promo, where we find out which player Mac will pick, Utley, or Harper.
