Big Dom DiSandro Will Be Back On The Sideline For Tonight’s Game
A grave injustice will finally be corrected tonight. After being barred from the Eagles sideline for 5 straight games, Big Dom DiSandro is back. He will be back on the sideline in his rightful place for tonight’s game vs the Bucs. Big Dom was barred from the sideline after he and 49ers Linebacker Dre Greenlaw got into a spat during the 49ers game.
…
Dre Greenlaw made a dirty hit on Eagles WR Devonta Smith. He picked Smith up and slammed him onto the ground out of bounds. The two of them got into it afterward, and Big Dom pushed them apart. Greenlaw took offense to being slightly pushed by Dom. He and Dom exchanged words, and Greenlaw wound up hitting Dom in the face. Officials ejected both of them from the game, and the Eagles went on to lose. In the aftermath, a ruling came down stating Big Dom would be barred from the sideline for the rest of the regular season.
But the regular season is over, meaning Big Dom can return to the sideline. And judging by how they played with him on the sideline, and how bad they looked like since his suspension, it may actually help. The Eagles were 10-1 with him on the sideline for the full game. That includes wins over the Bills, Dolphins, Cowboys, and Chiefs. But they are 1-5 with him missing all or part of the game. Including losses to the Giants Cardinals and Seahawks. Whatever Dom does from the sideline, apparently it works.
The Eagles take on the Buccaneers in Tampa tonight, with a chance to keep their season alive. They beat the Bucs back in week 3 fairly convincingly, but both teams have played a very different brand of Football since. If they win, they will travel to Detroit to play the Lions next week. That game would be played at 3 pm next Sunday.
