Sixers Heading To South Beach To Play The Heat On Christmas
Some sports just go well with certain holidays. You think Thanksgiving, you think of Football. On July 4th you think of Baseball. New Years you think of Hockey. And then on Christmas, you think of Basketball. And this Christmas, Sixers fans will get an extra treat, when the Sixers take on the Heat in the second game of the day.
Here is the Full NBA Schedule On Christmas Day:
Game 1: Bucks at Knicks
Game 2: Sizers at Heat
Game 3: Celtics at Lakers
Game 4: Mavericks at Suns
Game 5: Warriors at Nuggets
As usual, the Sixers will be on the road for Christmas. That will be the case as long as the Sixers are tenants at The Wells Fargo Center because that time of the year is reserved for Disney on Ice. But for the 2nd year in a row, they will be playing on Christmas Day. Last year they gave Sixers fans a present in the form of a 119-112 victory. And this year, the Sixers will be celebrating Christmas in South Beach when they face the reigning Eastern Conference Champions Heat.
The second game of the day is usually played at 2:30. But the NBA will have some competition for sports fans’ eyes on Christmas this year. There are also 3 NFL games being played on Christmas this year. Including the Eagles taking on the Giants at 4:30 at the Linc. So barring overtime in the Sixers game, Philly fans should be able to go right from watching the Sixers to watching the Eagles. A great Christmas if you are a Philly Sports fan.
We will all have to protect our remote closely though. Everyone has that one family member who loves to either turn the volume down or who wants to turn either Christmas movies or music on instead.
