See what was brewing with Jen Scordo today. Every day on The Best Show Ever? Jen Scordo shares a few recent weird and interesting news stories. Today that includes the fact that Dan Campbell wants a real lion on the sidelines and a zoo in China is facing backlash over what may be a human in a bear costume… Here are her stories from today.

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell would like to have a real, live lion on the sidelines.  It has not come to fruition as of yet and it probably won’t happen, but he wants it.  In a recent interview, Campbell mentioned that he’s keeping his dream alive.  Campbell claims that Lions owner Sheila Hamp has not completely vetoed the idea.  However, the league is saying hard pass.  Thanks but no thanks. And Campbell doesn’t just want a real lion in a cage on the sidelines… no no no, he wants the lion as a pet, on a leash, just chilling in the locker room and on the sidelines.  Campbell admits that he thinks PETA would have quite an issue with his idea.

The Hangzhou Zoo in China is addressing the questions from visitors who claim there is not a real bear in the zoo, but a human in a bear costume.  The video of the bear is extremely human-like with the bear standing straight up on its hind legs, looking very human… as well as some sagging skin around the bear's rear end that is causing visitors to question if the bear is real.  The zoo is promising that the bear is real despite the bear appearing to wave at visitors.  Angela is a Malaysian sun bear, they look more human-like than your traditional black bear.  The zoo has addressed the rumors by putting out a statement from Angela,

The zoo has arranged for reporters to observe Angela to prove that she is every bit 100% Malaysian sun bear.

OktoBEARfest At The Philadelphia Zoo: Know Before You Go

The Fall event season is just weeks away. The Philadelphia Zoo just announced the region's first big Oktoberfest celebration, OktoBEARfest.

The event is back for the first time since 2018. The Philadelphia Zoo presents OktoBEARfest on Saturday, September 16, 2023!

The revamped event will feature an exclusive "after-hours" night for the grown-ups at the first Zoo in America. While you're there, enjoy a Bavarian Beer Hall, live music from local DJs, and Philly’s Premier Polka Band, Polkadelphia. There will be more than 100 seasonal craft beers and ciders to sample, and of course, some BEAR-y amazing animals.

It's like a classic Oktoberfest event but with a really WILD twist. Sip your craft beer and stroll around the Zoo. See all of the Zoo's 1,900 rare and endangered animals in some really amazing exhibits. It'll be pretty temperate weather, too, so you won't sweat your animal-themed face paint off. And while the event is geared toward beer, there will be tons of food, too! It's a fun Fall event.

Tickets are on sale now. Don't miss one of the biggest beer festivals of the Fall season! Celebrate Fall with OktoBEARfest at the Philadelphia Zoo.

Here are some things you oughta know about the event:
