What’s Brewing With Jen

See what was brewing with Jen Scordo today. Every day on The Best Show Ever Jen Scordo shares 3 recent weird and interesting news stories. Today that includes the Brewers aren’t selling beer after the 7th, a Fruit Roll-Up smuggler was caught and a company wants to pay you to watch Fast & Furious movies … Here are her stories from today.

One month ago, the Milwaukee Brewers decided to extend alcohol sales through the 8th inning of baseball games.  Now they have decided to revert back to the original schedule, cutting fans off after the 7th inning.  The new baseball rules and the pitch clock have shortened games causing less alcohol sales.  Critics of the change (including Phillies pitcher Matt Strahm) worried about the safety of fans, but the Brewers say that didn’t factor into their decision.  They figured out that the amount of concession sales drops off dramatically after the 7th inning anyway and the extension of alcohol sales really wasn’t affected.

Two Americans have been caught trying to smuggle Fruit Roll-Ups into Israel.  The viral Tik Tok trend of wrapping a Fruit Roll-Up in ice cream has caused a shortage of the snack in Israel, so people are looking to the black market to find the treat. The two Americans were stopped at the airport with four suitcases full of Fruit Roll-Ups, weighing 375 pounds.  A second couple was also caught with 347 pounds of the treat at the same airport.  Evidently the weight is considered a commercial quantity, so the candy was confiscated.  You can buy a single Fruit Roll-Up in Israel for $5-$6.
