The Best Show Ever?

What’s Brewing With Jen

See what was brewing with Jen Scordo today. Every day on The Best Show Ever Jen Scordo shares 3 recent weird and interesting news stories. Today that includes a woman makes $5,000 a month dumpster-diving, a dog who was missing for 6 years was found 500 miles away and a Massachusetts town is renovating some manhole covers in a unique way … Here are her stories from today.

A Quakertown, Pennsylvania woman claims that she makes up to $5,000 a month from dumpster-diving.  Veronica Taylor calls it a real life treasure hunt.  She began dumpster-diving with her friend back in June 2022.  They made it their full time jobs in February of this year.  She’s found a Louis Vuitton wallet and some designer shoes along with a lot of Michael Kors gear, she donates most food and hygiene products to charity.  The two now travel from city to city diving in dumpsters

Tara Hillis of Atlanta, Georgia reported her dog Chief had gone missing 6 years ago either by jumping the fence or digging a hole underneath it.  Years and years started to go by and Hillis figured she would never see her pup again, until a good Samaritan found Chief over the past weekend, wandering all alone in Wayne County, West Virginia.  Over 7 hours away!  The good Samaritans took Chief to an animal control shelter and thankfully Chief had a chip, so they reached out to Hillis.  She’s going to pick up Chief one day this week.

This is my favorite story of the week!  Northampton, Massachusetts is spending $20,000 on four new manhole covers with a custom Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle design. Northampton was the home of the original Mirage Studios TMNT comic book series.  The new manhole covers also celebrate the latest movie, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem”, coming to theaters on August 4th.
