What’s Brewing With Jen

See what was brewing with Jen Scordo today. Every day on The Best Show Ever Jen Scordo shares 3 recent weird and interesting news stories. Today that includes an update on the game-worn Jordan’s, Prada is selling a “towel” dress for $3650, and a woman and her inmate pen pal are engaged after spending just 3 hours together… Here are her stories from today.

Here's an update on a story I’ve told you about a few times.  The worn-game Jordan 13’s ended up being auctioned off for a record $2.23 million dollars, making them the most expensive shoes in history.  Michael Jordan wore the shoes in game 2 of the 1998 NBA Finals.  The Bulls won 93-88, Jordan was responsible for 37 of those points and earned himself the Finals MVP Award.

The luxury brand Prada has designed a dress that resembles a towel from the motel group Travelodge.  The minidress is selling for $3650.  The dress is grey, and comments range from comparisons of old drapes to an elephant hoof to a Travelodge towel.  The company says the dress is silk and strapless and “raw and sensual.”  All of that for $3650.  It’s ugly.

A Swiss woman is now engaged to an American prisoner after spending just 3 hours together.  Kim Eichenberger connected with William McCarty through WriteAPrisoner.com, which is a website that pals up inmates with those living in normal society.  McCarty is in prison for drug offenses in California.  After they corresponded with several letters, she found she was falling for him and finally decided to make a visit to the prison.  The 3-hour meeting ended in an engagement.  They’re planning a life together in Idaho when he gets out of jail in October.
