The Sixers have had a hell of a season. Despite being the 3 seed, the Sixers have been perhaps the best team in the NBA since the new year began. A lot of that relies on how great of a duo Joel Embiid and James Harden have been. When they are on the court together, the Sixers are nearly unstoppable. But the concern is will they both be healthy for the playoffs? James Harden has missed the last few games while nursing an achilles injury. And to discuss if Harden will be healthy in time for the Playoffs, Anthony Gargano talked to Keith Pompey from the Philly Inquirer.

Not exactly a comforting answer. The truth is we do not know much and won’t until we see him on the court. What we do know is that the Sixers badly need him healthy. Because as we saw from the past few games, the Sixers are a different team when he does not play. They do not have another player who can facilitate like him. It forces Tyrese Maxey into that role, and that does not make the best use of Maxey’s skills. As Keith Pompey pointed out, they need Harden to bring out the best in Maxey.

The Sixers probably aren’t going anywhere without Harden. His health is far more important than seeding or anything that will happen in the final games of the regular season. Hopefully, he will come back healthy and there will be no reason to be concerned. But without him, the Sixers are not going to get very far. He is far too important to the team.
