Ted Lasso Character Guide & The Newcomers For Season 3

Wednesday March 15th we all head back to Nelson Road for Ted Lasso season 3. Season 3 drops Wednesday on Apple TV+ in the highly anticipated final season of the hit show and will air new episodes every Wednesday and it will be a 12 episode season. The most it has ever been.

Ted Lasso burst onto the scene back in 2020 as the feel good story of the year. A year in which we all needed a feel good story. A skit on NBC was developed into a TV show by Apple TV+ and became a hit during the pandemic. It starred Jason Sudeikis as "Ted Lasso." An American football coach who got hired by AFC Richmond to coach the OTHER kind of football... soccer. Ted's hiring came as quite a surprise to many, including players, because he had no experience coaching the sport. But that did not deter him from taking the job.

What made Ted Lasso so special is it stayed away from lazy tropes. The writers could have easily made a show about the obnoxious American coach who talks like he is from Texas and thinks he knows everything while sipping on "big gulps" while wearing a Yankees hat. Instead the writers created a character who had heart and a positive attitude that many could learn from.

If you have never seen the show you can check out this recap of season's 1 & 2 so you are all caught up for Wednesday.

This season is as good as the first two. The show adds some new characters to the mix and keeps the same charm. Maybe we get a spin off series and can continue the story of AFC Richmond. Either way, lets enjoy this while we have it because you would be hard pressed to find a better feel good show out there than Ted Lasso.
