Last night the Flyers made their first trade leading up to the March 3rd deadline. The Flyers traded forward Isaac Ratcliffe to the Nashville Predators in exchange for future considerations.

Ratcliffe was drafted by Philadelphia in 2017, 2nd rd, 4th pk (35th overall). He played 10 games for the Flyers in the 2021-2022 season. The left winger accumulated four points with one goal and 3 assists.

The Forward has been with the Phantoms; the Flyers’ AHL team. The 24 year old is a physically player and will bring a lot of toughness on the ice for Nashville.

When it comes to other trade rumors it appears James Van Riemsdyke is still someone who is going to be watched closely. The Flyers faced a brutal 7-0 loss to the New Jersey Devils Saturday night. JVR did not play as Chuck Fletcher said it was due to a maintenance day.

The Flyers play the New York Rangers on Wednesday, which would be there last game before the trade deadline. With moves being made around the NHL it’s apparent that Fletcher needs to act fast.

Today’s practice Hayes, Allison, and Van Riemsdyke were absent. This was not confirmed or denied that it has something to do with trade related reasons.
