Eagles plans to replace coordinators

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA – NOVEMBER 27: Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Shane Steichen looks on before the game against the Green Bay Packers at Lincoln Financial Field on November 27, 2022 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter joined the John Kincade Show for his weekly hit (Wednesday's at 8:10am) to give his thoughts on the aftermath of Super Bowl 57. Unfortunately the Eagles not only lost the game, but lost their two coordinators. Offensive coordinator Shane Steichen is now the Colts head coach, and defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon is now the Cardinals head coach. So who will be their replacements?

“The offensive coordinator is going to be Brian Johnson, that I don’t think there’s any question there. That you can take to the bank basically... The question will be the defensive coordinator and who that will be, and that’s not as clear cut as the offensive coordinator.”

The other big question is what will the Eagles do with Jalen Hurts. Hurts is up for an extension and how long will the Eagles wait? What will it cost?

"If I were the Eagles Id want to do the deal sooner rather than later. I wouldn't want to wait for anyone else. $45 (million) would be a starting point for him."
