PHILADELPHIA, PA - JANUARY 13: Trey Burton #88 of the Philadelphia Eagles prepares to take on the Atlanta Falcons during the NFC Divisional Playoff game game at Lincoln Financial Field on January 13, 2018 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

One of the heroes of the Philly Special in the Eagles’ last Super Bowl was Trey Burton. Nick Foles may have caught the TD pass, but it was Burton who threw it. And as we prepare for the next Eagles Super Bowl, Andrew Salciunas and Jamie Lynch flashed back to the last one first to talk to Trey Burton. They discussed that iconic play, the Eagles’ chances this year vs the Chiefs, if he thinks Jason Kelce will retire, and the disrespect that has been directed at the Eagles recently. See what Trey Burton had to say here.

On Lane Johnson

“What is really impressive about Lane is every single week he plays against the best player on the defensive side of the ball. He is going to have to go up against Frank Clark. If you see Frank in person, you ask where the hell they made this guy at. He’s just so athletic, explosive, and violent. Lane always has his hands full, and it seems like every week he still comes out and does his job at the highest level possible.”

On Nick Sirianni

“Man, can we talk about the job Nick Sirianni has done? All that crap you guys gave him on day one from his press conference. Look at what he has done for this organization. The trust he has gotten from the fans, and from high up to Jeffrey Lurie and Howie Roseman. I haven’t heard one bad thing about him or the staff he has brought. they have done such a phenomenal job of turning this team around. it has been really fun to watch.”

On if he thinks Jason Kelce will retire

And on the stress of heading into the Super Bowl and how to deal with it
