Poll: Who was Howie Roseman’s Best Acquisition this Season?
On Tuesday, we had a very interesting Twitter poll on The Best Show Ever. We asked who was Howie Roseman’s best acquisition this season. And I was stunned by how one-sided the results were.
Who was Howie Roseman's best acquisition this season?

Let’s start here: There isn’t even enough space to put all of the options in this poll. Credit to Howie Roseman for making that many impact moves! Ndamukong Suh and Linval Joseph have been extremely important to cleaning up this defensive line. Against the 49ers, Suh wreaked havoc and Joseph picked up the football on Sirianni’s challenge making sure it was Eagles’ possession.
C.J. Gardner-Johnson and James Bradberry receiving such few votes probably make sense when thinking about of A.J. Brown and Haason Reddick, but it’s amazing when realizing how incredible they’ve been. Bradberry will get a massive off-season contract and Gardner-Johnson finished tied for first in interceptions while only playing 12 games!
To be clear there’s really no WRONG answer and I understand there are many layers to this hypothetical. My personal opinion is A.J. Brown was the most important acquisition.
The Eagles’ defense finished with 70 sacks. If you removed Reddick and replaced him with another player who might have recorded six sacks in the offseason, they’ll still be leading the entire NFL with 60. Five more than the next team. Taking A.J. Brown off this roster would change everything Nick Sirianni wants to do as an offensive game plan. Number one corners are now covering DeVonta Smith instead. Adding just any wide receiver in the offseason would be more of a hit to the offensive unit.
