The Eagles Beat The Bucs in 2000

In 2000, the Eagles broke through to make the playoffs for the first time under Andy Reid. And they got off to a good start, beating the Tampa Bay Bucs in the Wild Card round. It was a cold blistery day at Veteran’s Stadium, and Tampa clearly did not cope with the chill. The Eagles won 21-3, on the back of two passing touchdowns, and a rushing Td by Donovan McNabb. Tampa hit an FG on their opening drive, but then did nothing else the rest of the game. And Andrew got the open by Pat Summerall and John Madden, plus the Mcnabb rushing TD, out of the Audio Vault today.

Giants Beat The Eagles The Next Week

Unfortunately, their first playoff run did not last much longer. They squared off with their rival Giants the next week. The Giants were the NFC East winners that year and played like it. They beat the Eagles 20-10 and would go on to beat the Vikings the following week to make it to the Super Bowl. Thought the Ravens would crush them in the Super Bowl. From this game, Andrew got a very cool produced open for the game, and also a McNabb interception.

Jaws is Published

On this day in 1974, Jaws (The Book) was published. it would go on to inspire one of the All-Time classic films, directed by Stephen Speilberg. And in honor of the book being published on this day, Andrew pulled one of the most famous scenes from the film, Quint’s speech.
