The Eagles are on a bye week. Which is much needed as several key guys recover from injuries. And to get an update on those injuries, as well as other Eagles news, Anthony Gargano talked to Zach Berman from The Athletic. What is the latest on Lane Johnson? How has Jalen Hurts looked in practice? And what does he think of the Eagles’ chances sv the rest of the NFC?
Update on Injured Eagles
“Jalen threw a little more than yesterday. I can’t tell you how much, but it was more than yesterday. Nothing I would be worried about there. The best sign for Eagles fans today was that Lane Johnson was in uniform. He was doing the most work he has done since he suffered that injury on Christmas Eve. And then Aj Brown was back out there as well. He wasn’t in uniform yesterday. But he was out there todayThe two guys who weren’t practicing were Avonte Maddox and Robert Quinn.”
Health is the biggest thing that can derail this team. Lane Johnson in particular. He is so valuable. The type sof things you can do with this offense when he is on the field and you feel confident having him on an island on that right side is signifigant. The fact that he was practicing, and is on track to play next week should be the best news of the weekend for Eagles fans.”
Jalen throwing more than he did yesterday, was a good sign. He said yesterday, he came back so they could win that game, so he could get this week of rest. So much of this nis about him getting right for next week. Even if he will be playing through pain, I still think they will be using him the way we are used to seeing Jalen Hurtsd. So I wouldnt worry too much there.”
