It is a playoff Monday. Your birds finish up 14-3. And while they limped in… we have to celebrate this team. At 14-3, they are the number 1 seed in the NFC. A very impressive season. An amazing season. And who knows, if Hurts doesn’t get Hurt, who knows what happens. It could be 16-1.
A very interesting fun season. The Eagles get the one seed. I don’t want to say in an ugly fashion, but it was not good. It was not a good game yesterday. Clearly, Jalen Hurts was hurting. Sirianni said after the game that Jalen’s shoulder was bothering him, and he was in serious pain. And you could see it. He had a couple of deep balls to AJ brown, but he was not himself. And to boot, they had to deal with no Lane Johnson. There was a lot of pressure in his face.
They did not call the run. Which I have to stop right here. I get you want to see him throw. However, how about the backs? I don’t understand it. What did Miles Sanders do to offend them? He had 11 carries yesterday. Is he dinged up? there was nothing said about it afterward. Most of them were in the first half, and he ran well. He had a couple of carries in the second half and that was it. I don’t understand that. I thought the playcalling was quizzical to be kind.
Look, I know you don’t want to run the RPOs. I don’t blame you. You cant run the RPOS. But you do have a running back. The other thing is Boston Scott had 9 carries. And he ran well, so it is not like I can complaining about it. I just don’t understand the Sanders thing. And I don’t understand why they like running Boston Scott over Miles Sanders. it’s odd.
Jalen looked like a guy playing in pain. I have two major concerns, and it is Jalen’s shoulder and Lane Johnson. And that is the shame of it. If they were healthy it would just be win two games and you are in.
