See what Andrew Salciuans found in the Audio Vault today. Every day on The Anthony Gargano Show Andrew takes a dive into the Vault to pull out some relevant audio to the day. Though with Andrew a bit under the weather, Matt Minarik filled in for him today. What did he find? Here is the lineup from today's Audio Vault, including some audio to honor NFL Legend Franco Harris who sadly passed away today.

Rest in Peace Franco Harris

Sadly we learned today that legendary Steelers Runningback Franco Harris passed away. The Hall of Famer spent his career with the Steelers, and before that in College at Penn State, and in High School at Rancocas Valley Regional Highschool in NJ. He was the first overall pick in the 1972 draft. Harris would help the Steelers win 4 Superbowls. And we honored him today in the Audio Vault. Matt played his most iconic moment, "The Immaculate Reception," which still may be the greatest play in NFL history, and an NFL Films Retrospective on his career.

Iconic Christmas Commercials

And with it being just a few days away from Christmas, Matt also pulled some iconic Christmas commercials he remembered from his childhood.

  • Fruity Pebbles Flinstones Christmas Jingle
  • McDonald's Christmas Commerical
  • K-Mart Christmas Jingle

All I Want For Christmas is You Hits Number 1 For The First Time In History

On this day in 2019, All I Want For Christmas is You hit number 1 on the charts for the first time. Which is surprising considering the cultural impact it now has. But for its first 25 years of existence, it never quite reached number 1. Though that was partly because of a now-defunct rule that made it ineligible for its first few years of existence.

Andrew Salciunas, “The Choonis,” has done it all at the station - screening calls, working events as a member of the street team, producing 7 days a week, doing updates, and now hosting his own show. Now with a wife and kid, his life experiences are far different than when he first started, but this “regular guy” knows how to relate to anyone. He writes about the Flyers, Phillies, Sixers, and Eagles.
