It is never easy in Philadelphia. Let that be our tenet. For some reason, it can never be easy. It can never be worry free in Philadelphia. We somehow have a lot in life where we have to trudge up the mountain. Even when it looks like the terrain is flat and easy, all of the sudden, a sloping mountain with rough terrain appears in the distance. That’s the story with Jalen Hurts. The fact of the matter is he is not going to play again until the playoffs.
When the playoffs come, you just have to hope he is healthy enough to play and is not rusty. It is not Wentz, where he is done. But whatever it is… it’s serious. It is a little bit more serious than he is questionable for the week. he is not playing Saturday. And he is not going to play for the rest of the regular season. He will heal up, and he is a gamer. Hopefully, it will all be taken care of and he will be playing int he playoffs.
They say it is not a collarbone. But if I am the Eagles, I want to make sure I couch this thing. I have to get behind the story. it is not a coincidence yesterday’s news conference was canceled… You don’t want to give your opponents any type of opening. You hit them with a sprain it covers stuff. And you don’t want mass hysteria…
This is not a death nail. This is not a funeral. But this is a tougher road… It is another hurdle now that you have to get over. And that brings me back to my overall theme, which is it is never easy in Philadelphia.
