The Eagles Win Their First-Ever NFL Championship
On this day in 1948, the Eagles won their first-ever NFL Championship. The Eagles had never won a Superbowl until the 2017-2018 season. But they did win 3 NFL Championships, including this one in 1948. It was a snowy ugly game. The Eagles scored the only TD of the game when Steve Van Buren ran through the Chicago Cardinals line to plow into the endzone. it was also the first ever NFL Championship to be televised. And to honor the Eagles’ first-ever win, Andrew pulled some highlights from way back then to play for us today.
The Simpsons Debuts
On this day in 1989, The Simpsons debuted. It’s amazingly still on today, even though many will say the quality has dipped. But regardless, staying on the air for 33 years and counting is quite the achievement. And Andrew pulled a scene from the pilot episode to play for us today.
