People Shocked To Know What Nutcrackers Purpose Is
Sometimes stories just make you lose faith in humanity. Like this one. Because apparently a lot of people had no clue what nutcrackers original purpose is. Yes. I guess the name nutcracker was not enough of a hint. People all over Twitter and TikTok were expressing shock that the purpose of a nutcracker is to actually crack nuts. Apparently this is a very common thing too. Our faith in humanity took a hit today.
US Woman’s Soccer Play Mallory Pugh Marries MLB Star Dansby Swanson
Two sports stars have tied the knot. Us Soccer star Mallory Pugh, and MLB Shortstop Dansby Swanson got married in an Enchanted Forest-themed wedding. Swanson was at one point considered a potential suitor for the Phillies before they signed Trea Turner. The wedding pictures were fairly glamorous, as you would expect from two millionaires. The wedding took place in Georgia, where Dansby may or may not be playing next season. And everyone at the wedding got the gift of Air Force Ones. The after party was even catered by Waffle House in true Georgia style.
Woman Denied Citizenship in New Zealand For Being Overweight
Mondelea Bezuidenhout was recently denied citizenship in New Zealand. Why? Well apparently her BMI denoted her as overweight, and she would have put a “strain on the healthcare system.” And at one point she was even in danger of being kicked out of the country. But thankfully she got permission to at least stay in the country upon appeal. BMI is considered a controversial measurement given it can’t really distinguish between body fat and muscle. She is originally from South Africa, At one point she weighed 20 stone, and was told she would have to lose at least 5 stone to stay in the country.
