The Audio Vault- Andrew’s Top 5 Christmas Musicians
Today in the Audio Vault Andrew Salciunas had one thing from this day in history. But we also got a peek at Andrew’s Top 5 Christmas Musicians list. And warning beforehand, it is ludicrous. Not only because of who was left off but because of one person in particular who was put on. Here is the lineup from today’s Audio Vault.
John Lennon’s Murdered On This Day in History
On this day in 1980, John Lennon was killed. And in remembrance of that day, Andrew had a few things to play out of The Audio Vault, including the news being broken live during a Monday Night Football game that night by Howard Cosell, and something from when John Lennon joined Howard Cosell in the MNF booth, and hilariously showed off just how little he knows about American Football.
Andrew’s Top 5 Christmas Musicians
Honorable Mentions
- Mariah Carey- Yes Andrew insanely does not have Mariah Carey in his top 5 Christmas Musicians. Despite the fact, she has the greatest Christmas songs of all time. And he did play “All I Want For Christmas is You” even though he left her out of his top 5.
- John Legend- John Legend was also outside the Top 5, but he pla
- Bing Crosby- Even though his White Christmas was iconic, he was also outside the Top 5, because like Mariah he said he is only known for one Christmas song.
Actual Top 5
5) The Temptations- The Temptations came in at 5, and Andrew played their version of “Silent Night”
4) Jackson 5- Jackson 5 were only 4 on the list, and Andrew played their version of “Santa Clause Is Coming To Town”
3) Nat King Cole- Nat King Coles’ “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On an Open Fire)” may be the best Christmas song ever. But he only comes in at 3 on Andrew’s list.
2) Michael Buble- Yea this is crazy. Andrew went full soccer mom and had Michael Buble on his list over Nat King Cole, Jackson 5, Mariah Carey, and The Temptations. Its insanity. But it is Andrew’s list. And he played Buble’s version of “Its Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas”. Anthony was none too thrilled. Calling Buble a “Lounge Lizard”
1) Frank Sinatra- And Frank Sinatra came in at number 1. Andrew played “Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas” from him.
