The Eagles got back to blowing teams out from beginning to end this week. They won 35-10 in a game that got so lopsided, they were able to take Jalen Hurts out. But how did they beat the Titans so thoroughly? What made a game that was supposed to be a tough test for the Eagles an easy win? Let's take a look at 5 numbers that tell the story of this victory vs the Titans.

10

All 3 of Jalen Hurts' touchdowns traveled 20 or more yards through the air today. He had just 3 of all last season. That gives him a total of 10 this season now. The biggest question coming into the year was his arm strength. Well, he sure has put those doubts to bed. We have seen him deliver beautiful deep balls all season, and today was no different. He even had another beautiful pass deep to Brown that got taken away because Brown's foot was out of bounds. But the pass was still great, and they just connected in the end zone again the next play. But the best one came on Brown's 2nd TD. Brown will get much of the credit for the play he made. But Hurts placed it beautifully. And we continue to see them connect no matter how great the coverage is.

2.7

All week we heard about how badly Derrick Henry would treat the Eagles' run defense. Eric Karabell even predicted on The Best Show Ever that Henry would rack up 100 yards and a TD. But he came up about 70 yards and 1 TD short of that. Henry amassed just 30 yards on the ground on 11 carries. 2.7 yards per attempt. He was a non-factor. The much-maligned Eagles run defense didn't just contain him, they removed him from the game. The return of Jordan Davis surely helped there. But they also just tackled much better. Oh, and it is worth mentioning that Nakobe Dean came in at one point for the injured Kyzir White. And despite not seeing the field for much of the game, or the season for that matter, he racked up 6 tackles to lead the Eagles. And on his first play, he drew a holding call and still made the tackle on Henry.

5

The Eagles got after Ryan Tannehill to the tune of 6 sacks. 5 of those came on third down. The Eagles came into the week leading the league with 18 third-down sacks. And they decided to build on that vs the Titans. They can get after it on third down. And the big difference for them was getting into 3rd and longs. The great play vs the run plays into that. They stuffed them on first and second. Forced them to have to throw it on 3rd. And then they bullied the Titans' O line. They are 2nd overall in the league with  42 sacks. But when they know the other team is throwing and can make a statement to end a drive, that is when they really get after it.

28.2

The Eagles' offense is elite. They now have 338 points on the season. 28.2 per game. Only the Chiefs score more often. That's right, The Eagles score more than the all-mighty Bills who we constantly hear are the elite of the elite. And the Bills are as good as everyone says. But the point is the Eagles are in that same category. And for good measure, they have also given up just 226 points. 18.8 pts per game. They have the 2nd best point differential in the league. And before anyone says they haven't played anyone, let's take a look if that is actually true. .

.800

The common thing to say is the Eagles have not played anyone. But after beating the Titans today, the Eagles have played 5 teams with winning records, also including the Vikings, the Cowboys, and the Commanders twice. They are 4-1 in those games (.800). Let's look at where the other elite teams are vs winning teams.

Eagles- 4-1

Bills - 3-3

Chiefs- 2-2

Vikings- 4-2

Cowboys- 5-1

Dolphins- 2-4

49ers- 2-1

Bengals- 4-2

If the Eagles haven't beaten anyone and have a cakewalk schedule, then pretty much every team has as well. Beating the Vikings, Titans, and Cowboys is as impressive of wins as any team has. You can't say the Eagles have an easy schedule and leave out the context of the Cowboys, Bills, 49ers, and Chiefs also having mostly easy schedules. The difference is they beat the Colts, unlike the Chiefs. And they beat the Packers, unlike the Cowboys. The only other one of these teams that has not dropped a game to a losing team is the Bills. And they have 3 losses to winning teams. The Eagles' "easy schedule" is a lie.

Oh and if we go by these teams' records vs each other...
