Anthony’s Opening Diatribe- I Give Howie Roseman High Marks

"We must laud Howie Roseman. Howie, Howie Howie. When he signs Ndamukong Suh, I actually him. Here is the thing. I don't know what Suh or Linval Joseph have left. But all I know is he moves quickly. You can say whatever you want about my man. He goes we have a need, we are going to go and get the best guy on the streets to fill that need.

That is what you want from a General Manager. You want a General manager who goes, I didn't like the way our run defense looked on Monday Night. Who have we got out there? Linval Joseph? Alright, come in and be an Eagle. Who you got, Ndamukong Suh? Okay, come on in with your attitude. I want you. Let's go. We have to get nasty. We need to keep this front stout. And he moves swiftly to make those signings. That to me is great GMing. No matter what they have left.

My look for this year was, I loved this offseason. Going into the year, I liked where this team was at. This team was ahead of the schedule for its second year with a new head coach. My expectations were let's make the playoffs again and see what happens... But you aren't going to fix everything overnight. He drafts Jordan Davis to address the defensive line. So Davis gets hurt, and he doesn't let any grass grow, and he goes and makes these two signings.

That is all I want out of a GM. To act swiftly, and smartly... I am supremely impressed, I love the aggressiveness... And I think its a big deal. Having those two up front is a big deal... I give it high-marks man. I am pumped up."
