Who doesn’t love a good dive bar? Pennsylvania has a bunch of great ones, too. One of my favorite things about a dive bar is that they’re almost always locally owned. They’re the kind of place that you can walk into and spot “regulars” right away. If you ever want company on a Saturday night, just head to a dive bar, and the staff and regulars will likely treat you like family. I actually worked at a pub that could be considered a dive bar in college, so I know these things.

So, what’s the best dive bar in all of Pennsylvania? The crew at Yelp has looked into their recent analytics and determined the top-rated dive bars in each state based on the volume, and ratings, from user-generated reviews.

As for methodology, Yelp states, “This is an all-time list of the top dive bars in every state according to Yelp. We identified businesses in the dive bars category, then ranked those spots using a number of factors including the total volume and ratings of reviews. When available, all businesses on this list have a passing health score as of October 17, 2022.”

So, what’s No. 1 in Pennsylvania? Corvette Grille and Bar, in Annville. On the bar’s Yelp page, they state, “Awesome food! Tons of wing flavors, cheese steaks, fish, chicken, soups and a full bar with lots of
craft beers to enjoy. Stop in and give us a try!” One commenter, Alyssa R., raves about the fries on Yelp, stating, “Honestly… some of the best fries I’ve ever had. I got the beer battered ones and omg, trust me, you want them. Also got the Corvette Burger and the Reuben. My boyfriend and I each shared some of both and we were not disappointed. Next time we are in Annville we will not need to decide where to eat, as the decision will be simple. Thanks Corvette!” Find the full list here.
