SZA assisted fellow R&B crooner Summer Walker on “No Love” which appears on the ATL native’s sophomore album ‘Still Not Over It.’ Both Summer and SZA speak about their previous toxic relationships and that they’re through with dealing with these old partners as SZA sings “I would give like ten percent/You deserve like half of that/I’ma need my money back.” Summer Walker released an extended remix with rapper Cardi B on March 25, 2022.

As we head into the final weekend of the 2022 regular season without an Eagles game there are a few things on my mind that have either always baffled me or flat out annoyed me in the sports world. There are things that I just don’t understand. I bet you have a few of your own. Please allow me to get this off my chest and if you are an offender, take this in the spirit to which it is offered.

I am not falling in line with the local Villanova talking points

No, I never root for my rivals. Ever. I am a proud graduate of Temple University. I don’t care if Villanova is geographically in my universe. I don’t root for a team that my program has a long and storied history with. In recent history the rivalry has been quite one sided, but in reality they have almost won the exact same number of Big5 titles. Don’t ask me to root for a rival. I don’t worry about zip codes. It’s one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard of as a sports fan.

Talking college hoops…

This is more of a memo to my broadcasting peers…it’s the season of mispronunciation.
It’s GON-ZAG-A not GON-ZOG-A. They are the Zags. It’s their nickname! This shouldn’t be that hard!

I liked people more before I knew their every thought on every matter

Twitter is amazing and I have been a supporter for a long time. As a media member I adopted it early and used it in my shows to interact with listeners. I try to follow only people that I personally know or have worked with. The point of that is my timeline, even with that subset, is littered with a 280 character thought on EVERYTHING. What vendor pissed them off, what they ate for lunch, why they hate this actor…it never ends. Interacting is great, but the pulpit is meant for the clergy.

In that same vein of thinking…

I liked it much better when I didn’t know who everybody voted for. This is especially evident with media members. It’s not because I might have a differing view on a candidate, it’s the invariable talking down and superiority complex of the politics spouting tweeter. Nobody but my closest friends and family know my politics and I promise you that most could NEVER guess my ballot any given election. I’m all over the place. One thing I do know, just because I host a sports radio show I’ve never thought to myself that part of my job description is to talk down or pontificate politics to the audience. If nobody has noticed, the state we live in is almost 50/50. Do I need to alienate half the state? No, I’m not that dumb. I also don’t believe I’m so enlightened that my opinion needs to be imposed on sports radio listeners.

Eagles on Monday Night Football! We pass the halfway point with this game. It’s going to be an amazing run to the finish line. Let’s all enjoy it together!
