Anthony Gargano’s Opening Diatribe- I’m Worried About The Sixers
See what Anthony Gargano had to say in his opening diatribe below…
Last night, losing to the Hawks, in the fashion in which they did. I know they are missing Harden…. But I’m worried. Like I’m officially worried about this team. Something does not look right…
The parallels between Doc Rivers and Joe Girardi are really strong. I am not one of these guys who willy-nilly goes fire the coach. But I’m not impressed at all with Doc Rivers. I respect Doc. He has had a great career. And I know it is early in the season, and Harden is not around for him. But I have to be honest with you guys. I’m not confident in Doc Rivers. I don’t feel like I can rest easy that he has the answers…
Joe Girardi was a guy who knew a ton about baseball. But when he left all of the sudden, there was a freedom. I don’t know if he is the reason why they are what they are right now. It could be more of a chemistry thing. But I will say this, he does not look like a guy who is engaged…
I look at this team, and they don’t play like a cohesive unit. Is that the player’s fault? Maybe. But they don’t look like a cohesive team. And at some point that is on the coach. If they continue to underachieve, he has to have answers. And again I am not sitting here and going to fire him. I want to give him every opportunity to find the answers. But the microscope is on him.
You have to win games. and you have to play better basketball… There are a lot of issues. They have to get buttoned up. And that has to come from Doc Rivers.
