And while it is easy to forget about them with what the Phillies are doing, "The Best Show Ever?" talked to Tim McManus to get some insight into this Eagles team heading into the bye week. What did he see from the Cowboys game? Is there anything this team could do better? Tim McManus discussed that and more. here is some of what he had to say.
On What He Took From the Cowboys Game
"I saw them take care of business. There has been a multitude of ways in which they had to win games. Some of them were just pure shootouts, some were defensive dominance, some of them muddied up, and then some were it is old school scrap NFC type of fights. That is what this last week was. The Eagles weren't able to execute offensively with the high level we are used to. But they were also going up against one of the best defenses in the NFL.
Defensively they took advantage and exposed Cooper Rush for what he is. Which is a middling backup QB. And that is because the defense he ran into is dynamite right now. Obviously, some things weren't perfect. But it is kind of nitpicking when you are talking about a win over one of the best teams in the NFC, a divisional foe, to get to 6-0. They just took care of business."
On James Bradberry and The Secondary
"You have to give credit to Roseman. He doesn't do it all in free agency or the draft. He looks at it like a year-round thing. And he has been able to pick up some valuable pieces late. In 2017 he did it with guys like Ronald Darby. And here he has an even better slam dunk with Bradberry. He's been dynamite. He has helped make this secondary arguably the best in the league. They are playing lights out."
