A Goose Was Loose at Dodgers Stadium
Last night's Dodgers-Padres game was delayed by the presence of a wild animal. We have seen animals delay baseball games before. Philly fans all remember the squirrel at the 2011 NLDS vs the Cardinals. But last night it was a goose who interrupted some playoff baseball. The goose interrupted the game in the 8th inning. Stadium workers were eventually able to move the goose. But it looked like it may have a similar rallying effect for the Dodgers as the Squirrell had 11 years ago for the Cardinals. Luckily for the Padres, they escaped the inning and held on to win. The goose should know however that it is not always safe for birds in MLB Stadiums. I would suggest it talk to the bird who met Randy Johnson, but that bird is not doing too well.
Time Travel May Not Be As Glamorous As You Think
A Facebook user has made the bold claim that Time Travel could soon be available for the low price of $100 million. But the personal cost could be much higher. According to this person, it would be impossible to return to the present. The supposed expert on time travel claims that traveling back in time would create a parallel timeline. Meaning even if you traveled back to the present time, it would all be changed. Of course, this is all from someone with a Facebook post, so take it with a grain of salt. But if you are interested in time travel, you might want to start saving your money, just in case. And start saying your goodbyes because evidently, you will have to leave your loved ones behind.
Jim 'Mattress Mack' McIngvale Places $10M bet on Astros to win World Series
Jim McIngvale is a mattress magnate down in Houston. And apparently, he is very confident in his hometown Astros' chances to win the World Series. He put his money where his mouth is, and placed a $10 million bet on the Astros to win it all. If they do manage to win the World Series, he would win a record $75 million. The Mattress Mack is also sharing the love with his customers too. If the Astros win, and he earns his record winnings, he will not only refund the purchases from any Customers at his store between now and then, but he will pay them back double what they paid. Needless to say Mack, and all his customers will have one extra reason to root for their team to win it all. And when the Phillies beat them, it will be that much sweeter.
