See what was brewing with Jen Scordo today! Every day Jen shares 3 recent weird and interesting news stories. Today she shared a story about a man who tried to rob a bank with a finger gun, an artist who lit all of his paintings on fire, and a burglar who got caught because he left his severed finger at the scene of the crime.

Artists Burns His Paintings After Selling NFTS

Damien Hirst lit fire to thousands of his paintings. In a publicity stunt, he sold thousands of his dot paintings. The owners had a choice. They could either keep the original artwork, in which case the NFT attached to them would be deleted. Or they could keep the NFT, in which case he would burn the original piece of art. Hirst had made waves with publicity stunts before. Buit this one attracted more attention than usual as thousands of people lined up to see the artwork they just paid $1700 for was thrown into a fire.

Florida Man Tries to Rob a Bank With a Finger Gun

Every good story starts with the words Florida man. And this is definitely a good one. Paul James Sinclair recently tried to rob a Florida bank. He approached the teller with his hand in his pocket, letting on he may have a gun in it. The thing is, he had no gun. The only thing in his pocket was his empty hand. That did not prevent him from taking $120 from the bank. Unfortunately for him though, the cops were not too far away. He was arrested just a few minutes after leaving the bank.

Man Gets Caught When He Leaves Finger Behind At a Crime Scene

Most criminals know to not leave fingerprints behind at a crime scene. But one burglar did something even worse. He left a finger at the house he tried to break into. The homeowner, in self defense, slammed a door on the burglars hand. Apparently, it was with so much force, it severed the criminal's finger inside the glove. The burglar removed the glove, and fled the scene. And police were able to use the loose finger to track him down and make the arrest. Bookmark that for the next episode of Worlds Dumbest Criminals.
