Dave Zangaro Previews The Eagles Game in Arizona
The Eagles will try to make it 5-0 when they travel to Arizona on Sunday to play the Cardinals. What can you expect in that game? Does it have trap game written all over it? Dave Zangaro joined “The Best Show Ever?” to preview this weekend’s game in Arizona. Here is some of what he had to say…
On If this Could Be a Trap Game
“On paper it is. They are traveling to the west coast. Playing a team that has been pretty unimpressive so far. And Dallas looms right before the bye week. So on paper, it fits that bill. I think the Eagles hope they have the leadership in that locker room to not let that happen. Guys like Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham, Jason Kelce, and Jalen Hurts. Hurts at the end of his press conference made it a point that this is not a cakewalk. That they have a lot of respect for the Cardinals. Which is the right mindset to have going into this one. Because they can get beat by anyone on any given Sunday. But if they play their game they should be able to win this one.”
On Covering Kyler Murray
“It’s tricky. You watch the Cardinals, and everything that is on script is a train wreck. The offense looks awful…The best the Cardinals look offensively is when everything breaks down and Kyler Murray runs around backyard football style and makes things happen. So it makes it trickier to gameplan for that. You never know when that is going to happen. I think the game plan should be to keep him in the pocket and avoid those off-schedule plays. They have to just be aware of them. The play is never dead. if you are in the secondary, you have to know you may have to cover for 6 or 7 seconds sometimes, because he has the ability to extend plays. And then he does look to throw. He has the ability to take over the game, so you have to be aware of that.”
