Today she had one about the most popular Halloween candy in each state, a dog running up a pay-per-view bill, and the invention of a real-life "invisibility" coat. Here are her stories from today.
Most Popular Halloween Candy In Each State
Candystore.com has released its list of the most popular Halloween candy in each state. We all have our own list of what Halloween candies are the best, and which ones we wish people would stop giving out. But which ones are the most popular in your state? In New Jersey, the winning candy was Tootsie Pops. For Pennsylvania, the winner was the various Hershey mini-bars. And in Delaware, Sour Patch Kids won most popular. Do you agree with the results? For my money, Delaware seems to have the best taste. You can see the most popular candy in every state below.
A Dog Runs Up A $70 Pay-Per-View Bill For Its Owner bY Accidentally Ordering Porn
The dog ate my homework is a common excuse for students who forgot to finish their schoolwork. But one man is contending that it was the dog who ordered a $70 porn pay-per-view service. He claims the dog jumped onto the bed, and hit the remote, ordering the service. He disputed the purchase, but the people in charge of managing his account did not by the classic excuse and refused to remove the purchase. The man had to take his gripe all the way to the FCC several years later before DirecTv agreed to refund him for the amount it cost to order the adult service.
So what do you think, did the dog actually order the program, or was this a classic dog ate the homework type lie to get rid of an embarrassing purchase? Tyrone and Hunter both felt the man was lying. But they respected the hustle to go so far to pretend he didn't order it.
A Real-Life Invisibility Coat
Will you soon be able to purchase your very own cloak of invisibility? Not quite. But there is something somewhat similar on the horizon. Vollebak, a science and technology-focused clothing brand, is working on what they call an Invisibility Coat. They think they are two years from being able to release it. The thing is, it doesn't work the way the one from harry Potter works. You can't just throw it on and disappear before the naked eye. Instead, it makes you invisible on an infrared camera by masking your body heat. So while it still has its uses, and is incredibly cool, it's not quite the huge advancement in technology it is billed as when you first hear the word invisibility coat. It will be very useful if you are being hunted by Predator.
