HOUSTON, TEXAS – OCTOBER 03: Interim manager Rob Thomson #59 of the Philadelphia Phillies talks to the team in the locker room after clinching the Wild Card, their first playoff berth since 2011 with a 3-0 win over the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park on October 03, 2022 in Houston, Texas.

Yesterday the question was if the Phillies lose, but still make the playoffs because the Brewers lose, are they allowed to celebrate? And since the Phillies made the playoffs on their own by beating the Astros, it never ended up mattering. But you can still see the answers we got here. Today it was another Phillies-based question. What was going on in your life the last time the Phillies made the postseason?
The last time they made the playoffs was in 2011. It was the year of the Four Aces. Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, Cole Hamels, and Roy Oswalt. they won 102 games. But it ended in disaster with a loss in the NLDS against the Cardinals. They got shut out by Chris Carpenter in game 5. And then they went from a 102-win team, to out of the playoffs the following year. And it has been 11 long years since that series. Back then Snap Chat wasn't a thing yet. Twitter was still young. Bryce Harper wasn't even in the league yet. It has been a long time.
Hunter was a sophomore in High School. Ricky Bo was, as he put it "The same old crap,' doing Phillies Pre and Postgame. Jen Scordo was at a wine festival at the Novacare center, looking at the ballpark when the Phillies clinched the playoffs that year. And Tyrone was an assistant Chief Engineer at another radio station in NJ at that point.
But where were all you? Still in high school? Still at an old job? Had you not had your children yet? Maybe you still were a child.
