It’s going to be a very special week…embrace it!

I always try to consume sports as entertainment. I try to not ride the roller coaster to depths of despair and not to over react to the good times. It’s a somewhat boring, reasonable approach that serves well in analysis but can be far too clinical. This is NOT the week to follow these types of guidelines. This is a week to truly let it all hang out.

The suitcase is already out ready to be packed for our annual show road trip with the Eagles.

After a (4-0) start the Eagles get ready to hit the desert with Philly Sports Trips and the John Kincade Show. We are going to have our live broadcasts on Friday and Monday on what will hopefully border the Eagles 5th win. There is a certain feeling to a Monday after an Eagles win. To start (4-0) and be the only unbeaten team in the NFL means conversations can be a little more irrational. It’s wonderful to look behind you, to be the team that is chased. It allows you to watch other games with a rooting interest. I know tonight I’ll be looking for the Rams to take their 2nd loss tonight.

The Phillies wake up in Houston. If you’ve heard me you know that my frustration level with their performance is truly high. I realized this morning they are going to end up probably within a game of my original prediction back in April for this season. The problem is that the way they have crafted their 2022 season isn’t as I saw it happening. It has the feel of underachieving. The best part for them is that a post season berth grants the opportunity of a clean slate. On Thursday morning they have the chance to be (0-0) again knowing that Zach Wheeler could steal a Game One on the road.

A lot of other cities won’t have our week. Start planning your weekend activities now. Your Friday and Saturday will be consumed with post season baseball should the Phillies manage to win a game in Houston. In all honesty, the playoffs begin tonight. The sooner the Phillies can clinch the berth, the better. The only question is would you rather play at the Mets or the Cardinals? The Mets are limping to the finish line after an epic choke job. The Cardinals are clearly the weaker opponent. Cast my vote for the Mets!

We have an epic weekend ahead of us. We hope you will stay tuned to the show all week long as we enjoy dreaming with you. The Eagles could be (5-0) by next Monday and the Phillies could be waking up in Los Angeles or Atlanta preparing for the NLDS. It’s ok to dream. Dream along with us. We will congregate daily in a valley of hope!
