On The Progress of Jalen Hurts
"Raise your hands if you thought Jalen Hurts was going to be this good. Not many people have their hands up. He has been exceptional through 3 games. Really defying expectations. It's funny how the conversation has changed. From is he the guy to how soon is he going to get paid? We have to pump the brakes a little bit. Three games do not a season or a career make. But you have to really love the progress you have seen out of him. Especially his progress as a passer...
There is just so much to sink your teeth about as far as the quality of the performance. The coaches have pointed out two plays in particular that they really liked. One was the Devonta Smith Touch down. Time was running. So Hurts took it upon himself to become the play caller. He dials up a play that wasn't even in the game plan... And then the hand check on the AJ Brown TD, that put them in the perfect spot. The coaches put their hands up with a TD signal before the ball was snapped because they knew he just made a perfect check. You are seeing progress all over the field with Jalen Hurts."
On the Challenge the Jaguars Defense Pose to the Eagles
It is a big challenge. This is the best defense they have faced to this point. The Jags have given up only 10 pts over the last two weeks total... When you are looking at the question of are Jalen Hurts and the offense just thriving against so-so defenses? And are they able to elevate against the best defenses in the business? Thats what we figure out on Sunday.
