WEEK 2 UPDATE – Who in the NFL is better than the Eagles?

Every week I’m going to continue the exercise of amnesia viewing the 2022 season. Take all previous biases out of any discussion and evaluate the teams in the NFL based only on the outcomes of the games played each week. So the fact that Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes have both won Super Bowls recently for this evaluation means nothing.

Last week, after the Detroit game, I listed 7 teams ahead of the Eagles. The amount of feedback that I received on 7 was definitely claiming that I was being too kind. I should have listed at least 3 or 4 more teams according to my email critics. I understood the criticism but of course didn’t agree with it.

This weeks number should create the same discourse. I’m only listing TWO TEAMS ahead of the Eagles.

Buffalo Bills – There is a big difference between the swagger and confidence displayed by the Josh Allen led Bills. They dominate, the define aggressiveness. They hold a location that could assist come playoff time by understanding their surroundings better. Bills look exceptional.

Kansas City Chiefs – The Chiefs are the sleek sports car that runs the danger of high maintenance bills. As currently constituted I’m not sure the Eagles could hang for four quarters with them.

———————————

Week One – 7

Week Two – 2

Cumulative Score – 9

Cumulative Average – 4.5

————————————

The Cumulative Score is what I theorize will determine where the Eagles end up at seasons end. Right now they are trending as a Top 5 team. I’m ok with that. It’s a little higher than I expected before season kickoff, but I’m good with it.

Prepare yourself to be busy for the second weekend of the NFL Playoffs…of course, we will be open to further over reactions!
